Digital Identities for Businesses

The EUDI Wallet is currently being developed as a digital identity for individuals. The planned European Business Wallet (EUBW) extends this principle to businesses and other legal entities.

In the future, this will enable companies to securely manage proof of identity, roles, authorizations, powers of attorney, and other digital credentials, and to use them when dealing with government agencies or business partners. This could allow the EUBW to streamline numerous processes—from interactions with government agencies to contract signings and KYC checks.

What does the European Business Wallet mean for companies?

A key challenge is linking a company’s identity to the individuals authorized to act on its behalf. This is precisely where the EUBW comes into play.

Our white paper shows how this interaction can work and which regulatory and technical developments are currently laying the groundwork for it.

In the white paper, you'll learn, among other things:

  • Why Companies Need Their Own Digital Wallet
  • How companies and authorized representatives are linked to one another
  • How digital credentials are added to the Business Wallet and used
  • what potential applications might arise, for example, in the notarial context
  • What regulatory and technical steps still need to be taken before implementation
