The federal states of Schleswig-Holstein, Berlin, Brandenburg and Bremen have joined forces to form a state association in order to jointly develop and operate the AUREG commercial register procedure.
Westernacher Solutions has been managing the entire project for several years in the role of network management and advises the customer on specialist and technical issues.
Managing the AUREG project is a complex task in a development network. Not only do the interests of the various interconnected countries have to be balanced and moderated, but several development and operational service providers have to be managed and coordinated. Although AUREG is to be replaced by the new nationwide AuRegis register procedure in the future, AuRegis continues to be delayed due to its high technical complexity and the many special features in the individual federal states. Neither the legislator nor technical progress take this into account, and so AUREG has had to undergo extensive further development for many years.
Over the years, AUREG has developed into a highly complex system consisting of many components where legacy software meets modern software paradigms. There are also a number of interfaces to external systems, including the
Commercial register portal the Business Registers Interconnection System (BRIS)
and the electronic legal transactions in the justice system (EGVP).

In addition to management tasks, our range of tasks also includes specialist and technical advice, for example on electronic legal transactions, XJusticeencryption and electronic signatures, where we can contribute our many years of expertise. We benefit from our excellent network in the judiciary and the large number of projects and consulting services, for example the XNP project, through which notaries transmit applications for commercial register entries to the registry courts and are received by AUREG, or our consulting services in the EGVP project office.
